Queen Tiye Plush

Queen Tiye doll is especially designed for the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization NMEC, where Queen Tiye’s mummy is now located. Queen Tiye’s mummy is one of the 22 mummies that were relocated to NMEC in 2021.

Queen Tiye is a character that connects Egypt’s historical & cultural events. She is associated to three generations, as she was the wife of Amenhotep III, the mother of King Akhenaten & the grandmother of King Tut.

She was figured so prominently in the life of her husband (Amenhotep III more so than any other queen). Her name is paired with his on numerous objects, such as vessels, jewellery & commemorative scarabs. She was the first Egyptian queen to have her name recorded on official acts, and hence was named by egyptologists “The Elder Lady”.

Her husband set up a great palace for her with a huge lake at (Malqata) in Thebes, and colossal statues equivalent to those of the kings in temples, her features became a model for the features of the goddess (Mut).

She had a very strong personality and was so intelligent; hence she held several administrative positions in the palace, and had a role in Egyptian foreign diplomacy. she played a major role in maintaining internal stability during Amarna period.

الملكه تيهي شخصية تربط الأحداث التاريخية والثقافية في مصر. وهي مرتبطة بثلاثة أجيال، حيث كانت زوجة أمنحتب الثالث، والدة الملك إخناتون وجدة الملك توت عنخ آمون

لقد تميزت بشكل بارز في حياة زوجها (أمنحتب الثالث أكثر من أي ملكة أخرى). حيث ان اسمها يقترن باسمه على العديد من القطع الأثرية، مثل الأواني والمجوهرات والجعارين التذكارية. وكانت أول ملكة مصرية سجلت اسمها في أعمال رسمية، ومن ثم أطلق عليها علماء المصريات اسمالسيدة العظيمة

أقام لها زوجها تماثيل ضحمة معادلة لتماثيل الملوك في المعابد، وأصبحت ملامحها نموذجا لملامح الإلهة “موت”، وشيد لها قصراً كبيراً يحتوي علي بحيرة في منطقة “ملقطة ” بالأقصر وتقلدت عدداً من المناصب الإدارية في القصر

عُرفت أيضًا بأنها شخصية بارزة في عهد ابنها الملك إخناتون وتمتعت بشخصية قوية وذكاء حاد وكان لها دور في الدبلوماسية المصرية وفي الحفاظ علي الإستقرار الداخلي للبلاد في عصر العمارنة
